FCC removed 13 robocall mitigation certifications

The FCC announced that it has removed 13 deficient robocall mitigation certifications from the Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD). This requires all intermediate providers and voice service providers to cease accepting calls with NANP calling numbers directly from these providers.

The certifications removed were from the following providers:

These robocall mitigation certifications were removed because the filers did not satisfy the requirements to provide a robocall mitigation plan that describes its robocall mitigation program.

Two removal orders were issued on February 22, 2024. The first order was for the first 12 providers listed above, and the second order was for Teleclub. These orders were effective immediately.

The Commission’s removal orders state that these providers shall not refile in the RMD unless and until the FCC Wireline Competition Bureau and Enforcement Bureau determine that the provider has resolved any deficiencies or shortcomings in its certification.

New RMD certification requirements

On a related note, we would like to remind providers that updated robocall mitigation filing rules went into effect on February 26, 2024. The updated rules require that more information be provided in both the robocall mitigation certification and plan. These rules apply to all providers.
