Operations and Billing Support System for Cisco VoIP Networks SIP Solution Description The TransNexus OSS/BSS solution integrates seamlessly with Cisco's SIP Proxy Server, or any SIP proxy. Installation and configuration is simple enabling a rapid solution for least cost routing, number translation, access control and call detail record reporting. NexOSS provides centralized and easy to use applications for route provisioning, traffic analysis, QoS management, settlement billing and credit control. Multiple NexSRS route servers can load share routing for multiple SIP Proxies to create a highly reliable system with no single point of failure. The diagram below illustrates a typical network architecture where NexOSS Route Provisioning is used to manage multiple zones and interconnection with external networks.
Highly scalable, the NexSRS server provides routing for intra-domain calls and inter-domain calls. The NexSRS can provide routing directly to a Cisco session border controller for exchanging traffic with H.323 networks. Digitally signed inter-domain tokens may be used for added access control security between VoIP clearinghouses. The NexSRS server can also provide routing and access control for calls with partner gateways that are not registered with a gatekeeper. Call detail records may be streamed to NexSRS directly from SIP Proxies eliminating the need to configure each gateway to report RADIUS call detail records to a separate RADIUS server.
