NexOSS V2.2 Provides Dynamic Least Cost Routing

Atlanta, Georgia (USA) –– June 15, 2004. TransNexus has announced that its NexOSS suite of utilities for managing intercarrier VoIP traffic now includes dynamic least cost routing.  The new least cost routing module automatically updates all NexSRS route servers in real time as rate changes occur in the billing system.  The flexible database interface can easily access rates in any external billing system or use the NexOSS rating engine.  Every time a rate is updated, the new module automatically computes a new routing table optimized for maximum profit among all routes.  Gross Profit thresholds, on a per minute and per margin, allow operators to set a minimum level of profitability for each route.

The new module also enables operators to easily override least cost routing logic and manually configure routes based on quality of service or contractual business rules.  "This new feature offers a very rapid return on investment for wholesale carriers," said Jim Dalton, TransNexus CEO.  "This module eliminates any possibility of unprofitable or low margin routes and eliminates coordination problems between billing department and network operations which update routing data."

In addition to least cost routing, the new NexOSS release also includes a new near real time reporting module which provides comprehensive data on VoIP quality of service.
